The 105th edition of Giro d’Italia launches on May 6, 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. In the first phase, there will be a 195 km route between Budapest and Visegrad

It is mostly flat day, but in the end its slope is 5.5 km, 4.2%. The winner will wear a pink jersey, as the general’s first leader.

Giro d’Italia 2022 will have 21 stages and Total route 3445.6 km.

This May 6, 2022, test starts at 05:20 (Ecuador time). On this day at 8 o’clock in the morning a television broadcast was announced in the country.

The second phase, on May 7, 2022, will be a 9.2 km separate time test.

Four Ecuadorians in Giro d’Italia

For the first time, four Ecuadorian cyclists will compete in Giro d’Italia from May 6 to 29, 2022. They are Richard Carapaz, Jonathan Norvez, Jonathan Cassedo and Alexander Sepeda.

All four have already moved to the previous version. What’s more, Carapaz, Kaysedo and Norwegian know what it means to win the Italian round.
