The United Kingdom Set aside 1.5 billion for operations and military assistance Ukraine. This announcement was made on Saturday, May 7, 2022, by the British Ministry of Economy.
The Prime Minister Britain’s Boris Johnson will announce the new financial package at the G7 Leaders’ Virtual Summit this Sunday, in addition to the 75 1.75 billion already announced.
Economy Minister Rishi Sunak confirmed in a statement issued by his department that the funds would be used to cover the cost of military aid to Ukraine this fiscal year.
The British government claims that aid to Ukraine in the war against Russia represents the largest military expenditure in the conflict since 43,000 troops were deployed on the ground from the top of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Last Tuesday, Johnson already announced 350 million euros for electronic warfare equipment and thousands of night vision goggles, part of which has been confirmed by the Economy today.

“The United Kingdom is the first country to acknowledge the level of threat and to send weapons to the Ukrainians in self-defense. For its part, the economy ministry insisted that the UK continue its “unwavering support” for Ukraine and therefore allocated new funds against “Vladimir Putin’s brutality”.
