To celebrate International Museum Day this Wednesday, May 18, 2022, there will be free access to various cultural sites in Quito, according to the city’s Museum Foundation.
Visitors can participate in various cultural activities. Each of these spaces offers a different way of approaching History, art, science and tradition Local and national, including temporary and permanent exhibits for visitors of all ages.
Hours and address
The City Museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m. It is located at Calle García Moreno S1-47 and Rocafuerte. Next to it is the Arc de la Reina, next to the Calais Garc মa in Moreno, the Museo del Carmen Alto.
The Interactive Science Museum is open from 09:00 until 17:00, with the last entrance at 16:00. And it is located on Cincolagua Road and in the AV Maldonado, Chimbakal sector.
The Yaku Water Museum is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. Its location is at Calle El Placer Oe11-271.
The Contemporary Art Center is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m. It is located on Montevideo and Luis DeVilla Barrio San Juan streets.
