Former Vice President George Glass turned himself into a national policeman when a Santa Elena court annulled the habeas corpus granted to him and for which he was released.
According to police authorities, Glass turned himself in to his home on a coastal street in Guayaquil.

Glass is serving a sentence for corruption.

Videos posted on social networks showed how a uniformed officer read his rights before he was admitted to a patrol car.
At 4:30 p.m., the Interior Ministry said police maintained “physical control over the detainee” George Glass.
Former Vice President George Glass was arrested at his home and is being held at the behest of authorities.

The former vice president is expected to be held at Guakil police station and then transferred to Latakunga, to serve his sentence for corruption in that prison.
