Saturday, May 6
Course: From your lens. It will be a workshop hosted by Ecuadorian plastic artist Oscar Morales who invites the public to enter the field of artistic photography. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of photography while painting pictures of a place with the most history and beauty of Quito. The event will be held at the Museo del Carmen Alto from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Admission costs USD 4.
Musical: ‘Winds of the People’. It has been outlined as a platform to pay homage to International Workers’ Day. It is a collection of songs that were part of the so-called new Latin American song movement that emerged in the sixties and seventies. Choreography: Unpublished – Seventh Edition. It is for young creators of the movement and dance industry who want to start their artistic creation project; Dancers, although they have achieved a technical level as performers, began choreographic work and movement research for staging. Recitation: Respect for mother with chimera. With 34 years of music experience, Quimara’s priority is to spread traditional and contemporary Ecuadorian and Latin American popular music around the world. The show will air at the Beethoven Theater from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tickets cost USD 10.
Seminar: Museum re-reading. It’s a question of how the city’s history has been created and transmitted. To do this, the museum will attempt to critically review the official places that handle memory and oblivion. The event will be held at the City Museum from 2pm to 5pm. Ticket price with limited seats is USD 3.
Match: Quito League vs 9 October. For the 12th match of the Ecuadorian Ligapro Championship, the Liga will visit on 9 October to score points and try to get out of the relegation zone. Exhibition: Immersion of Ilovsky songs. The educational proposal is a fine and intimate tour of the artist through the historic center of Quito, from drawing, painting and installation. The event will be held at the Metropolitan Cultural Center from 09:30 to 16:00 in rooms 3 and 4.
